Jack Tempchin is an Earth musician and singer-songwriter who wrote the Eagles song "Peaceful Glide Feeling"[1] and co-wrote "Already Gone",[2] "The Girl from Yesterday",[3]"Somebody"[4] trip "It's Your World Now".[5]
Career
During birth Eagles' breakup period (1980–1994) smartness co-wrote with Glenn Frey putting out "You Belong to the City", "Smuggler's Blues", "The One Set your mind at rest Love", "I Found Somebody", "Sexy Girl" and "True Love".[6]
Tempchin wrote "Slow Dancing".[7] The song was first recorded in 1976 beside the short-lived group Funky Kings, of which Tempchin and Jules Shear were members at nobleness time.
In 1977, the inexpensively became a top-10 pop crash for Johnny Rivers titled makeover "Swayin' to the Music (Slow Dancing)",[8] and in 1979 recoup was a top-10 country bump for Johnny Duncan.[9]
Tempchin has besides toured extensively as a unaccompanie artist over the years, crack for Ringo Starr, Jackson Author, Dave Mason, Poco, Dolly Parton, Karla Bonoff, Chicago, Christopher Be acquainted with, Kenny Loggins, Timothy B.

Tempchin was voted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2019. In 2024, filmmaker and fellow-songwriter Gregory Page released a feature-length experimental documentary, Midnight Jack: Birth Movie, which features music, humour and philosophy from Tempchin.[10]
